Come along to learn and share gardening skills as we continue to transform this pasture into a productive paradise. Meet new people and spend time outdoors in a beautiful spot.
Next year we’ll open for the first time for the National Gardens Scheme to raise money for hospice charities.
Be part of this by coming along to the Tuesday Garden Volunteer day. 9:30 for hot drink, catch-up and 10am start. Finish at 1am with a hot soup. All abilities welcome – while there is lots of hard work there are also many opportunities for a more gentle morning gardening.
The morning may consist of gentle gardening and clearing, planting out, discussing and planting new areas, mowing, preparing flowers and plants for the concession stall, sowing seeds and potting on plants.
There are also more physical tasks such as helping barrow in compost and wood chip or more gentle tasks such as creating labels for the flower and veg beds.
We end with lunch ( there is soup from the garden and hot drinks and biscuits available).
You may also be interested in getting involved in another aspect of the garden such as helping with promotion, organising events or running a workshop.
Call or email Zoe to see about dropping by firstname.lastname@example.org 07505 805111! Or check the volunteer page for up-to-date information on the volunteer day and the tasks we might be getting up to.
